Dr. Binish Desai shared his curiosity in waste we are producing every day and displayed how he has been utilizing it to make constructive elements. At the very small age of 11, invented the first material sample of the brick from paper waste and chewing gum. 37 inventions under the Eco Eclectic Technologies banner in India and more than 700 tonnes of industrial waste recycled. He has received many national and international awards for his contributions. Known as "Recycle Man" and Waste Warrior of India, he was recently named Social ChangeMaker of the Year by News 24. He is also one of the youngest to be awarded the “Rotary International Alumni Humanitarian of the Year" award for South Asia. Developed an eco-economical toilet to support Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and founded BDream at age 16. His companies pioneer in eco-friendly and economical rural development solutions and his lab has developed around 150 eco-friendly products from 40 different types of wastes. His contributions to Industrial waste recycling and Waste to EcoInnovations has been the core vision.

There's going to be more face masks than jellyfish in the ocean very soon. These discarded face masks, and every other imperishable waste that harms the planet, is a man-made concept. Simply relocating them is not going to solve the issue. When the lockdown began, Binish Desai immersed himself in his home laboratory to come up with an ingenious solution - Brick 2.0 - to tackle the rising demand for PPE suits and masks. The Recycle Man of Our Nation and a Padma Shri nominee, Binish Desai is a 26-year-old successful Social Entrepreneur who was featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2018 for the same. Having developed ideas to recycle domestic and industrial waste into useful resources in a manifold, Binish has helped deflect 3592 metric tons of carbon emission from entering the atmosphere(which is a lot). Today, his innovative and entrepreneurial skills combined with his zest to save the environment have made him the proud owner of Eco Eclectic Technologies, where he has turned his innovative ideas into a reality. Binish also started a socio-economic platform named Ecolite Studio, whose primary goal has been to empower women, essentially from the rural communities. Desai was honoured with the ‘Rotary International Alumni Humanitarian of the Year’ award for South Asia and is recognized as the ‘Waste Warrior’.
